Utility Mapping

Utility owners rarely lack data. They have decades of it, in incompatible formats, at inconsistent accuracy, with the authoritative version depending on who you ask. What they lack is a network that is traceable end to end.

We consolidate that material into a validated network dataset. As-built records, field survey, GPR interpretation, existing GIS layers and CAD drawings are brought to a common reference frame, features are captured with the attributes your asset management system needs, and connectivity rules are enforced so the network can actually be traced, isolated and analysed.

Positional confidence is recorded per feature rather than averaged across the dataset, because the difference between a surveyed main and a main digitised from a 1970s sketch matters enormously to anyone about to excavate.

Yes — resolving that is the job. We establish a source hierarchy with you, record provenance on every feature, and produce an exception list where sources genuinely conflict rather than silently choosing one. The exception list is often the most immediately useful deliverable.

Yes, and we verify it by running traces rather than assuming the rules worked. Orphaned features, disconnected segments and invalid junctions are resolved before delivery and reported.

Yes, including asset group and asset type assignment, association handling and rule configuration. We also work in the older geometric network model and in custom PostGIS schemas where that is what you run.

By classifying accuracy per feature and carrying that classification through to delivery, so a downstream user can see whether a line was surveyed or inferred. Averaging accuracy across a dataset hides exactly the information that matters for excavation safety.
