Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1. Who we are

ASAV Geospatial & Engineering Services ("ASAV", "we", "us") provides engineering design, geospatial production and technology services to business clients. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what rights you have over it.

For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights described below, write to info@asav.com and mark the message for the attention of the data protection contact.

2. What we collect

Information you give us: name, employer, job title, email address, telephone number and the content of enquiries, quotation requests, job applications and newsletter sign-ups.

Information generated by using this site: pages visited, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type. This is aggregated and used only to understand how the site performs.

Client project material: drawings, surveys, point clouds, models and related files supplied to us in order to carry out contracted work. This is treated as confidential client property, not as our own data.

3. Why we use it

To answer enquiries, prepare quotations and perform contracted work.

To administer the client relationship, including invoicing and project correspondence.

To assess job applications, where the lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in recruiting.

To send a monthly newsletter, only where you have asked for it, and with an unsubscribe link in every issue.

To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for twenty-four months. Client contract and invoicing records are retained for the period required by law. Job applications are held for six months unless you ask us to remove them sooner.

Client project files are retained for the period specified in the relevant contract or statement of work, and are securely deleted on expiry of that period or on written request.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — for example our email provider, cloud storage provider and accountants — and with authorities where we are legally required to do so.

Client project material is never shared outside the named project team without your written instruction.

6. Security

Access to client material is granted per project and revoked at closeout. Transfers use the client's own approved platform or an encrypted endpoint. Staff work on managed devices, sign confidentiality undertakings, and are prohibited from using personal cloud accounts for project files.

No system is perfect. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Cookies

This site uses only the cookies required for it to function and, where enabled, a privacy-respecting analytics cookie to count visits. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to any part of the site.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email info@asav.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be notified by email.
