Not every job needs a full engineering design. A contractor pricing fifteen plots this week needs quantities and a layout, fast, on the system they already work in. That is a drafting and estimating problem, not a calculation problem, and treating it as the latter wastes everybody's money.
Underfloor Designs is our high-throughput production lane. It sits alongside the UFH engineering practice and shares its checkers, but the work is scoped differently: rapid drafting, quick sizing on established assumptions, Linear-based output where your workflow demands it, and tender take-offs at volume.
If a job turns out to need proper heat-loss work — and we will tell you when it does — it moves to the engineering lane. Most repeat plot types, extensions, refurbishments and standard commercial areas do not.
