Commercial Concepts

Commercial solar decisions are made on a spreadsheet, but the numbers in that spreadsheet come from a design. If the concept overstates usable roof area or understates the electrical infrastructure work, the whole business case is wrong and nobody finds out until detailed design.

Our concept packages are built to be trusted at investment committee. Usable area is derived from real constraints — plant, skylights, safety zones, expansion joints, structural capacity where known — and the yield model is run on site-specific weather data with realistic loss assumptions. Where the roof cannot take the array, we say so at concept rather than at week ten.

We also produce the multi-option comparisons that these decisions actually need: rooftop against carport, self-consumption against export, staged build against single phase, each with its own capacity, yield and indicative cost envelope.

Yes, and half-hourly data gives a far better answer than monthly totals. We model generation against the load profile to show self-consumption ratio, export volume and the capacity at which additional modules stop earning their keep.

At concept stage we produce a feasibility commentary based on the structural information available and flag what needs verification. A definitive capacity assessment requires a structural engineer with access to the original design or a site inspection, and we will tell you when that is the critical path item.

Yes. Carport layouts including bay coordination and canopy spans, and ground-mount including row spacing for the site latitude, terrain following, access tracks and setback constraints.

That is the intent, and it is why we prefer to do both. Concept assumptions are documented explicitly so the detailed design phase starts from a stated basis rather than a reconstruction of someone's thinking.
