Permit Packages

Complete jurisdiction-compliant submission sets built against the reviewer's own checklist.

Permit Packages — representative deliverable
Overview

Permit Packages

Permit rejection is rarely about engineering. It is about a missing label detail, a pathway measured to the wrong edge, a structural calculation that does not name the applicable code edition, or a sheet the authority expects in a particular position in the set. Each rejection costs a week.

We build permit packages jurisdiction by jurisdiction. For every authority you submit to we hold a checklist covering adopted code editions, fire setback and access pathway rules, rapid shutdown and labelling requirements, structural attachment and loading documentation, sheet order and any local quirks the review office actually enforces. Where you have submission history with that authority, their past comments go into the checklist too.

Sets are prepared to be signed and sealed by your licensed professional. We do not stamp drawings and we say so clearly — what we do is make sure that when your engineer reads the set, there is nothing left for them to fix.

What you receive

Every item below is issued in your own template, with your layer conventions, title block and revision scheme.

  • Roof or array plan with fire setbacks, access pathways and module layout
  • Attachment and racking detail sheets with penetration and flashing details
  • Structural loading summary — dead, live, wind and snow per applicable code

Frequently asked

No. Stamping requires a licence in the project's jurisdiction and that responsibility properly sits with your appointed professional. We prepare the set to be sealed, including the calculation basis your engineer needs to review, and we work directly with them on any queries.

We obtain the authority's current published solar submission guidance and adopted code editions, build the checklist, and review the first set jointly with you before submission. From the second project onward it is a standard lane.

Send us the comment letter. Responses are treated as priority work and returned within one to two working days, and if the comment arises from something we should have caught, there is no charge for it. The comment then becomes a permanent checklist item.

Yes, for standard rooftop attachment and racking cases — dead, live, wind and snow loading with the code path and assumptions stated. Unusual structures, existing-frame capacity checks and anything requiring a site inspection need your structural engineer's involvement, and we scope that boundary explicitly at the start.

Yes — ESS placement, clearance and separation requirements, rapid shutdown coordination, dedicated labelling and the additional sheets most authorities now require for storage.
